Our brand new driver, Gary, received this wonderful thank you note from a passenger today. His 2nd ride and he is already making a huge impact. Thanks Gary for all you do on behalf of ETS!

We heard from our passenger Sophie what a great time she had with our volunteer driver, David (Sully) Sullivan, who’s been driving for ETS/NW since 2006! So we contacted Sully (pictured) who replied, “I’ve observed over the years that many of our clients are living alone and our conversations during rides provide them the opportunity to socialize and share stories. Some have led extraordinary lives.
Sophie has led an interesting life and is very articulate when explaining her frustrations and VERY strong opinions about a variety of situations. As drivers, we can be ‘sounding boards’.”
We couldn’t agree more. For some of our passengers, their ride with an ETS/NW driver may be their only social contact for the week. So our service goes far beyond just giving them a ride to the doctor. Thanks, Sully, for all you do for our passengers! We salute all of our volunteer ETS/NW drivers – you’re the best.

We came into a sweet voicemail from our 92-year old passenger, Valeria, who is almost totally blind and is having her son move in with her. She said she won’t be using our services anymore. She wanted to thank her many drivers over the past two years for the wonderful service they’ve provided getting her to her doctor appointments.
So thanks to volunteer drivers Max, Pat, Michael, Bob, Chuck, Sheila, Tom, Lynn, Helen, Dan, Rich, and Angie. We love the time you spend keeping our area seniors healthy and independent!

Passenger Laverne made a point to let us know how great her volunteer driver, Helen Minogue was on a recent ride. She said Helen was so kind to her. Thank you, Helen, for making sure our area seniors get to their important medical visits!
If you’d like to be called out for your kindness as a volunteer driver, contact us at (847) 222-9227. We are as flexible as your schedule. You can do one ride a week or one ride a month. And you’ll be crucial to assuring our frail elderly are able to stay healthy and independent, even though they no longer drive.
We conducted our semi-annual driver training this morning. We were happy to have three new drivers join the ETS/NW family. Welcome to Gary, Steve, and Nick!
We love hearing from our passengers about their experiences with ETS/NW. Here are just a few of the notes we’ve received on our 10th Anniversary.
